A well branded Telecommunication’s company is looking for a Business Development Manager or Vertical Markets Account Manager or Sales Manager to manage and grow the exploding demand for its product range. The successful applicant will understand the dynamics of providing internet and voice products as well as being able to manage a reseller channel, direct channel and the marketing function.

The Vertical Market Account Manager is responsible for the increase or maintenance of a required minimum base of revenues and number of customers within an assigned industry vertical ie. Mining, Agriculture, etc.

• Responsible for revenue growth within a specific vertical. Revenue growth must be aggressive and consistent from year to year. Directly responsible for meeting and exceeding the revenue expectations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Must be a “Subject Matter Expert” for the vertical market and customers within the vertical.
• Establish an acute knowledge of competitive pricing, market rates to ensure an acceptable win rate at acceptable margins.
• Work closely with Line of Business and Service Organization to ensure comprehensive account and market penetration and growth plans are clearly defined.
• Obtain a minimum yearly goal in New Business accounts.
• Take a lead role in executing Vertical Account Strategy for assigned local accounts.
• Maintain company and contact information and document all sales calls, customer visits and business opportunities; Coordinate and complete profile information as needed.
• Promote communication and coordination between Sales, Operations, Customer Service and Customers.
• Review, understand and use Monthly Revenue and Receivable Reports; Maintain daily awareness of sales activities and results.
• Demonstrate ability to negotiate pricing and contract requirements.

• Matric/ Grade 12
• Marketing Degree or equivalent
• Knowledge includes but is not limited to vertical industry knowledge, customer requirements, relevant line of business capabilities, an in-depth understanding of the competitors and their capabilities, and opportunities for new market and customer development. .

3-5 years of Telecommunications industry experience.

Driver License + own vehicle

• Must have excellent presentation and writing skills.
• Develop and use effective customer service skills.
• Develop effective communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Develop and maintain proficiencies in Windows based applications.•
• Develop and maintain technical understanding of all Site and Technical Service Lines of Business
• Able to perform general office skills.
• Use BlackBerry to more effectively manage Beacon entries.
• SALARY: R300K to R400K OTE ( on the target earnings)
